To say the 3 authors are obsessed with Irish Whisky would be an understatement。 You can absolutely tell they love what they do and they love talking about it。 This isn’t your typical drinks guide book。 Yes there’s wonderfully complex Irish Whisky cocktails but there’s so so much more。 They discuss the history behind the Irish pubs and explain all the ingredients。 This isn’t one of those recipe books where they tell you you can make substitutions & it will be okay。 No， the authors tell you exact To say the 3 authors are obsessed with Irish Whisky would be an understatement。 You can absolutely tell they love what they do and they love talking about it。 This isn’t your typical drinks guide book。 Yes there’s wonderfully complex Irish Whisky cocktails but there’s so so much more。 They discuss the history behind the Irish pubs and explain all the ingredients。 This isn’t one of those recipe books where they tell you you can make substitutions & it will be okay。 No， the authors tell you exactly what you need and how much （or how to make what you need） to make the perfect drinks。 Very interesting even if you aren’t an Irish Whiskey drinker （yet）。 。。。more

I have always wanted to learn more about Whiskey and I am really glad I got to read this book。 My favorite bar I go to here where I live is both a whiskey and craft beer bar。 Now I can go in there and know what they are talking about。 Another thing I loved about this book is that they had other recipes in there other than the cocktails。 They had the recipes for the syrup and others that they used in the cocktails。Thank you Netgalley and Mariner Books for letting me read and review this book。
